I decided to visit the famous S'pore Botanic Garden where it boasts to have the biggest collection of over 1000 species and 2000 hybrids of orchids. I was not dissappointed except the fact that it suddenly rains cats and dogs and I was "stranded" at the garden for almost half an hour. Crap! Mind you that I was not able to find any dry shelters except for big trees which I think is not advisable especially when it rains..You know, the lightning will strike you thingy. Ain't risking my life.
The fee is SGD$5.00 per adult and I had to say I'm impressed by how well the garden is being managed. I at one point felt like "Alice In Wonderland " walking along the garden exploring hoping to see a "white rabbit" pops up and say Hi! or like stepping into a "Secret Garden" and hope to stumble upon a secret passage or door. The place is so peaceful and I think it's the best place to get away from people and the sound of traffic and find solace in a tranqulity place like the Botanic Graden.
